秋天到来的时候，单位里有位同事调走了，空出了一间宿舍。那位同事是我的校友，也是我的好友。他调走的消息我是第一个知道的，我及时请示了单位领导，搬进了他空出来房间。对我来说，这是一次意外收获。

我对那间宿舍非常满意。首先，周围环境很好，门前是一道院墙，院墙外面是大片的庄稼地，不远处有一座小土丘，上面长满苍翠的林木，空气十分清新。其次，宿舍里只有我一个人，那位同事原来是与一位老工人住在一起的，因为那位老工人天天回家，宿舍里其实只有他一个人。我住进去之后，也几乎见不到那位老工人的踪影。最让我高兴的是，宿舍里还有一张桌子和一把椅子，它们也是属于那位老工人的，老工人不在，自然就暂且属于我了。几经周折，我终于有了一个梦寐以求的理想宿舍。

转眼间，我来到煤矿已经一年多了，这时候考大学的愿望也变得越来越强烈。按照规定，参加工作满两年才有资格参加成人高考，如果不出意外，明年我就可以报名了。细细一数，距离考试日期还有半年多，我必须开始认真复习了。我专程到城里的新华书店买了一套成人高考复习资料，每天下了班，吃过晚饭，便一个人在宿舍里看书做题，直到深夜。头昏脑胀时，便走到门外，伸伸胳膊，弯弯腰，呼吸一下清新的空气。宿舍门口有一副双杠，以前在学校时，我喜欢在单杠和双杠上锻炼臂力，掌握了一些简单的技巧动作，正好可以活动一下。在那些静悄悄的夜晚，我深深体会到了独处一室的好处，既不会影响别人，别人也不会影响我。偶尔有同事推门而入，见我正伏案学习，总是知趣而退。

当然，也有意外的“不速之客”前来骚扰。

一天夜里，我学习到很晚，疲惫至极，躺下去正要睡去，忽然感觉额前有一缕凉凉的东西，起初我以为是一缕头发，困意袭来，懒得去管它。可是那缕头发老是在乱动，痒痒的。我忍不住抬手捋了一把，竟把一个东西捋在手里，冰凉，且蠕动不止。我大吃一惊，用力捏了一下丢开了，一阵忙乱，亮了灯，只见枕头上一条蜈蚣正在挣扎，因为被我捏伤，已经无力逃走。后来，我在房间里数次发现了蜈蚣，每次都让我惊悸不已，每次我都让它们有来无回。我曾经询问隔壁老工人房间里是否有蜈蚣，他们都摇头，我很是不解。后来了解到，蜈蚣是怕烟味的，那些老工人都喜欢吸烟，房间里整天烟雾缭绕，蜈蚣自然不敢去。而我已经多年不吸烟，所以蜈蚣才会往我的房间里跑。

过了一段时间，我又在房间里发现了老鼠。每当夜深人静，我坐在桌前看书，它们就会悄悄出现，在我脚边转来转去，稍一抬脚，它们会迅即消失。我注意到桌子下面的墙根处有一个小小的黑洞，老鼠就是从那里来的，又是在那里消失的。我先是找来一块石头把洞口堵住，然而过了几天，在石头旁边又出现了新的洞口，老鼠们照常来去无阻。后来有一位同事借给了我一个老鼠夹子，几乎每天晚上都能夹到一只。过了一段时间，房间里终于绝了鼠患。

冬天又来临了。

这天，我刚吃完饭，好久不见的小胡子突然来访。我疑惑地望着他，自从我们不在一个宿舍居住，几乎没有了来往。他大大咧咧坐下之后，直截了当地向我说明了来意：原来，这个冬天，小胡子又把老婆孩子从老家接来了，这一回，与他同住一室的老工人坚决不同意另找地方睡觉，在这种情况下，小胡子又想到了我。在我的宿舍里，小胡子提出一个解决方案：我到他的宿舍与那位老工人同住，他一家人到我的宿舍居住。我听了，一时不知到说什么好。虽然我很想帮助他，可是我更不想失去这个来之不易的理想之地。思量再三，我最终客气地拒绝了他，希望他另想办法。小胡子显然很不高兴，嘟哝了一句什么，转身悻悻而去。

记忆中的那个冬天非常寒冷。宿舍里没有暖气，也没生炉子。每天晚上我坐在桌前，手指总是冻得拿不住笔，腿脚总是渐渐麻木。睡觉的时候，哆哆嗦嗦钻进冰凉的被窝，身子总是蜷缩成一团。第二天早晨睁开眼睛，总是看见地上的脸盆里结着厚厚的冰。

时光飞逝，光阴荏苒，转眼间我参加的历时三年的xx学院大学本科成教学习已近尾声，即将毕业的我回顾过往的点点滴滴依然清晰分明。

三年前成人高考的情景至今仍历历在目，曾记那时，正在xx市xx房地产综合开发有限公司上班，工作上任务繁重，休息日都被新楼盘的筹备挤去了，属于自己支配的时间少之甚少，那段时间，好几次有放弃这次入学考试的机会，凭着毅力还是坚持了下来，每次的抽空复习，终于顺利过了成人高考。为自己能有幸成为xx学院的学员而倍感庆幸，现又即将完成学业，心里总感到一种“苦尽甘来”的滋味，付出后的成功使内心更充实。这也正验证了“决心即力量，信心及成功”这句名言的内涵。

通过三年的成教学习获得了很多知识，更重要的是有了较快掌握一种新事物的能力。思想变成熟了许多，性格更坚毅了，认识了许多同学和老师，建立起友谊，并在与他们的交往中提升了自身素质，认清了自身的一些短处并尽力改正。这段成教学习生活是我人生成长道路上一道亮丽的风景线，也是闪闪发光的一段人生历程，它包括汗水和收货，为我划平人生的线起着至关重要的作用，给了我一次重新塑造自我、完善自我的机会。

Competition and Cooperation

Competition is a very common phenomenon in our social life today. We compete when we play games, we try to do better than others in our study and there is constant competition for jobs, fame, wealth and so forth. We can say, to some extent, competition is one of the motive force of the development of society.

We often find competition and cooperation occurring at the same time. Think of a basketball game. During the game, one team is competing against the other, but each member of the team must cooperate with his teammates. In most cases, we can’t compete without cooperation. Thus they are equally important.

While advocating competition, we can’t forget cooperation. In modern society, cooperation is especially important because most work is fulfilled with and through other people. So we must combine competition with cooperation to obtain our goals.

春节过后，天气渐渐暖和。这天，我得到一个消息：集体宿舍要重新进行调整，两个人一个房间，自由组合。我又想起了成人高考，又开始向往理想中的宿舍，于是随口说道：要是一人一个房间该多好啊。这话一出口，马上有人讥笑我是异想天开。我也知道这是痴人说梦，说完很快就抛到脑后去了。然而，过了几天，有人向我提供了一个情况：东宿舍那儿有一个房间，因为离厕所很近，气味比较大，谁都不愿意去住，已经闲置了很长一段时间。我听了，心里一动，难道我的理想要变成实现吗？

我悄悄地去考察了一下，发现那个房间位于一排宿舍的末尾，靠近一个公共厕所，厕所年久失修，往外流着污水，远远地就能闻到一股臭味。在厕所与宿舍之间生长着几棵高大的杨树，枝繁叶茂，应该是受益良多。见此情景，我变得犹豫不决。可是，想起去年冬天“流离失所”的事情，我又开始考虑住在这里的一些好处：房间只属于我一个人，谁也不会来打扰我的生活，我可以安心学习，为将来的成人高考做准备。最终，我决定住进去。

不久，我就搬进了这间闲置已久的宿舍，同时也发现了一些不尽人意的地方，地面坑洼不平，墙皮剥落，顶棚黑乎乎的。但是我仍然感到很满足，毕竟这是一个完全属于我的居住空间，在这里，我可以随心所欲地安排一切。我搬来砖头，靠墙垒起一个平台，把我唯一的箱子摆放在上面，作为一个看书写字的地方；我在床铺的上方吊起一块塑料布，用来遮挡顶棚落下的灰尘；我在靠床的墙壁上贴了报纸，看起来整洁了许多；我在房间里拉起一根绳子，用来悬挂衣服和毛巾。经过一番忙碌，宿舍里很快增添了几分温馨。

然而，每天下班之后，回到宿舍，我却不敢打开门窗，因为来自厕所的气味随时都恭候在外面，伺机进入。

夏天来临了，房间里越来越闷热，外面的气味也越来越大，我开始后悔自己当初的选择。每当我受不了屋内的闷热，不得不放下书本走出房间时，马上又会被外面浓重的气味包围，于是又不得不远离那排宿舍。那个夏天，有时候我会沿着一条长长的泥土路一直走到田野上，野外的庄稼和青草散发出的清新气息总是让我流连忘返；有时候我又会沿着通往矿区的路一直走进单位的会议室，那里面总是聚集了一群人在看电视，我找个地方坐下，时间就会在不知不觉中流逝。

Fake and poor quality commodities are a serious problem. Many things can be faked such as soybean sauce, vinegar, bicycles, and many other things. The interests of consumers are affected, and many enterprises keep losing money because of cheap fake commodities.

There are some reasons for such a phenomenon. The major one is the desire of some people to “make easy money”. These people think nothing of the law of the protection of intellectual property rights.

To get rid of fake and poor quality commodities, the government should educate people to obey the law of the protection of individual intellectual property rights and not to sell any fake goods. The government should punish severely and close down all the factories producing fake goods.

时光如梭，转眼三年的学习生涯即将过去，我是一名应届毕业生，就读于上海经济管理干部学院，会计专业。

对于社会日异月新的发展，作为生活在21世纪的我们，为了更好地适应社会的需求及提高自身的素质修养。我于20xx年12月通过了成人高考，顺利考入我校。

Last Saturday I joined a voluntary activity which was organized by the students' union of our school.
