我第二次不写作业是因为我在家里父母东一句:“字写好点。”西一句:“字和字要对齐”不愿意写就到学校写,可是没写完又被老师拎到办公室,这一次我差一点就被开除了,也就是这一回我再也不敢不写作业了。

高中英语新课程标准特别强调了英语教学要符合高中生的心智和情感态度的发展。新课改的核心就是课堂教学,如何改革,目标只有一个,那就是高效的高中英语课堂,而要提高英语课堂效率,方法也多种多样,应结合课程的时代性和基础性,从学生的生活实际出发,英语是一门语言类学科,与生活息息相关,笔者结合新课标的相关要求,谈谈新课标下如何构建高中英语高效课堂。
一、构建生活化情境,培养语感语境
语言学习重在情境,如果缺乏一定的情境,那是水中捞月、纸上谈兵。传统的高中英语教学是在高考的指挥棒下,将知识点、内容强硬地灌输给学生,学生也是在被动的情况下接受,不少学生不过是为了完成知识点的记忆,进行死记硬背、生搬硬套。语感的缺乏、语言综合运用能力的欠缺,使得现今的高中英语教学贴上了“哑巴英语”“聋子英语”的标签。
比如在教学“Looking good , feeling good”这一课内容的时候,我就用多媒体创设了一个生活化的情境,展示了一些运动项目,如高尔夫、体操、跳水、短跑、武术、体操、溜冰、棒球等等。并且在课堂一开始,就提了一些生活化的问题,“Are you interested in sports?”“What kind of sports are you particularly fond of?”“Have you ever joined one of them?If not, are you planning to join one?”通过类似的生活化情境的创设,学生很快能适应到这样的语境中来,随后通过听一些录音、欣赏一些视频对话,走入课堂内容,结合一些运动的单词,通过某个点拨产出一组词汇。结合课文要求掌握的词汇,比如“fit”,这个词既可以是形容词,也可以是动词,还可以是名词,具体的结合学生们生活中的例子,比如:“老师一直很喜欢教师这份职业,你们觉得呢?”,这时候学生回答道:“I think you are really fit for your job.”“老师今天穿的这件上衣是否合身呀?”学生回答道:“The blouse fitted you well.”这时候我指着自己穿的大衣:“这个天有点冷了,是不是应该穿大衣啊?穿大衣是不是一个比较好的选择呢?”学生在我的启发之下,说出:“The coat is a nice fit.”……
通过生活化情境的创设,学生们的语言思维被快速地激活,语感也就随之产生。课堂效果良好,并且生活化的情境对于学生的记忆也有了很大的帮助。
二、还原生活化环境,促进轻松教学
在高考的重压之下,高中英语教学总让人觉得有些沉重,一切都是为了高考,课堂上争分夺秒,少了很多活跃的气氛,课后学生们题海战术,少了很多学习的乐趣。课堂上,教师与学生之间的交流与合作也不多,其实和谐的师生关系更能促进有效的英语课堂。所以在教学中,可以还原生活化的环境,让学生在轻松、愉悦的生活化环境下学习,让师生关系在和睦、和谐的情境中生成,让教学与学习变得轻松。
比如学习“Wish you were here”这一课内容的时候,这节课的知识点比较零散,有大量的词汇、语法需要学生掌握,如果一堂课下来,纯粹讲解这些知识点和语法,学生可能记不住多少内容,相反,如果在轻松和谐的氛围中,让学生从话题中感悟知识点的内涵,教学效果会更理想。基于这是一节英语阅读课,大部分学生在完成阅读的过程中,都是带着“好读书不求甚解”的心态,甚至感觉到阅读课堂的枯燥、乏味。这节课我一改常态,通过多媒体设备,为学生营造了一个和谐的课堂氛围,比如我播放了一些非洲的音乐,在音乐声中,引导学生们欣赏多媒体幻灯片上的图片,一望无际的撒哈拉沙漠,一些漂流登山者骑着骆驼穿越沙漠,这是大家在忙碌的学习工作中所憧憬的画面。随后伴随着我提出的问题,让学生们阅读课文,我提到:“Can you tell me where these pyramids are located?”“Do you think it is a land full of mystery , charm and attraction?”……结合我提出的这些疑问,学生们对于文章阅读的背景知识有了一定的了解,也在潜意识里对阅读内容产生了浓厚的兴趣。
这种轻松、愉悦的生活化的授课环境,让学生扫除了英语学习过程中的焦虑情绪,同时通过影音、图片、视频、对话等一系列方法的融入,让学生们勇于开口说英语,勇于进行探究式的学习。
三、设计生活化作业,促进自主学习
学生自主学习是高效课堂的重要保证,通过自主学习,学生不仅能学好英语知识,更有助于他们掌握学习的方法,对于他们今后的成长、发展也有着积极的意义。作业是高效课堂的一个重要组成部分,所谓温故知新,都需要在作业中加以巩固、完成,传统的高中英语教学往往通过布置大量的作业,让学生进行复习,其结果往往是收效甚微。所以在生活化课堂的推进之下,教师也可以通过设计生活化的作业,来促进学生自主学习。
比如学习了“growing pains”这一课,学生们对于生活中的烦恼、成长的烦恼都在课堂与大家交流了一遍,比如有的学生提到学习的烦恼、父母长辈等提出的期望无法达到的烦恼、对理想是否能实现的烦恼、与人沟通的烦恼。还有的学生联系了电视剧《成长的烦恼》《家有儿女》等进行了叙述。趁着他们对于对“成长的烦恼”话题的激情,我布置了相关的作文,题目是“Grow up without pains but happiness”,要求学生们联系自己的实际生活,想一想我们有哪些烦恼,这些烦恼让我们产生了什么行动和想法,但是这些烦恼的背后,又有着成长的快乐与收获。通过这样的生活化的作业形式,学生们的思维被进一步打开,同时也呈现出英语作为一门人文学科,在教学的同时,一些人文思想、教育理念,可以通过浅出的生活实际以及深入的课堂内涵,自然而然地呈现出来,使得学生受益匪浅。
总而言之,生活是一面镜子,让教学时刻向着生活的情景靠拢;生活是一粒种子,让高效课堂在智慧的沃土中萌芽。从生活的“浅出”到课堂的不断“深入”,符合循序渐进、层层递进的教学规律,符合学生的身心发展。
