　　A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world. Everyone you meet is your mirror.

　　Mirrors have a very particular function. They reflect the image in front of them. Just as a physical mirror serves as the vehicle to reflection, so do all of the people in our lives.

　　When we see something beautiful such as a flower garden, that garden serves as a reflection. In order to see the beauty in front of us, we must be able to see the beauty inside of ourselves. When we love someone, it’s a reflection of loving ourselves. When we love someone, it’s a reflection of loving ourselves. We have often heard things like “I love how I am when I’m with that person.” That sim* translates into “I’m able to love me when I love that other person.” Oftentimes, when we meet someone new, we feel as though we “click”. Sometimes it’s as if we’ve known each other for a long time. That feeling can come from sharing similarities.

　　Just as the “mirror” or other person can be a positive reflection, it is more likely that we’ll notice it when it has a negative connotation. For example, it’s easy to remember times when we have met someone we’re not particularly crazy about. We may have some criticism in our mind about the person. This is especially true when we get to know someone with whom we would rather spend less time.

　　Frequently, when we dislike qualities in other people, ironically, it’s usually the mirror that’s speaking to us.

　　I began questioning myself further each time I encountered someone that I didn’t particularly like. Each time, I asked myself, “What is it about that person that I don’t like?” and then “Is there something similar in me?” in every instance, I could see a piece of that quality in me, and sometimes I had to really get very introspective. So what did that mean?

　　It means that just as I can get annoyed or disturbed when I notice that aspect in someone else, I better reexamine my qualities and consider making some changes. Even if I’m not willing to make a drastic change, at least I consider how I might modify some of the things that I’m doing.

　　At times we meet someone new and feel distant, disconnected, or disgusted. Although we don’t want to believe it, and it’s not easy or desirable to look further, it can be a great learning lesson to figure out what part of the person is being reflected in you. It’s sim* just another way to create more self-awareness.

　　It may also be said that rational, industrious, useful human beings are pided into two classes: first, those whose work is work and whose pleasure is pleasure; and secondly, those whose work and pleasure are one. Of these the former are the majority. They have their compensations. The long hours in the office or the factory bring with them as their reward, not only the means of sustenance, but a keen appetite for pleasure even in its simplest and most modest forms. 　　寒风渐起的夜晚，关于木兰的记忆总会在这样的观景里不期而至，依稀如昨，只是我很少或是不敢主动前去触碰。有时候想着，就干脆让时间来冲淡彼此间的感觉，或者是直接斩断这种若有若无的念想，让它在如许的烟波岁月中凝成一个淡淡的剪影。

　　印象最深的一次写关于她的文字，是身在西北高地的某个夜色苍茫的时刻，那会我趴在电脑桌前，一遍又一遍咀嚼着与她谈诉的每一个细节，脑海中尽是她体重从下降至上升的模样，怜惜之情溢于言表。继而回想起中学时与她经历的往事，冲动却清醒地想一下子出现在她的面前看她一眼。多年后她对我说，当我把那些文字发给她看时，她感动得泪流满面。我想，如若当时我真的在那会去找她，如今陪伴她的，会不会是我，或者说，她会不会爱上我。

　　那时候很少正式和她谈及爱情，触及更多的，仅仅是夹杂在友情中朦胧的暧昧意味。就是在这样的暧昧中，我们一路走了过来。

　　暧昧中除了嬉笑打骂，除了散步聊天，或者说除了分班后断断续续的交流和叹息，却也说不上有什么可歌可泣的事情发生。仔细想想，相聚的日子实在不多，甚至远远比不上她与其他朋友沟通的时间。可不知道为什么，每一次的回忆，总有一种如细水般的感觉植入心脾，那是一种别样的心动和伤感。

　　这种心动和伤感从何而来，我见道的很清晰。第一次心动，是她刚转到班上之时。当时感觉班**似乎对她比其他人客气，或者说是比对其他人好。我看她头发披肩，脸蛋白里透红，衣服似乎有些过宽，却似乎比班上很多同学都来得干净清澈，加上一对凤眼，黑漆漆的眼珠扑闪着几丝警惕、腼腆、贵气和倔强，咋一看，少年的心中一震，脑海便碎碎念叨：这位姑娘不好惹，有点冤家的味道，但像是个冷美人。

　　果然不好惹！一逗便拳如雨下；果然是冤家！居然对我姓名似曾相识，好几次排座位居然鬼使神差的距离很近，甚至邻桌。于是免不了聊天，开玩笑。我见她*日里走路时表情略显严肃，印象中喜欢穿一双*底鞋，一个人走路步子迈得比较快，话不是很多，但和我聊天时似乎是个例外，我喜欢看她笑，笑起来花枝招展，如同家乡的山茶花般灿烂。是的，我们一起聊天时总是笑的多，很多话总是翻来覆去地说，翻来覆去地拿来调侃，甚至连口头用语都有几分类似。譬如喜欢说“如果……”“其实……”。她习惯说我的一句话便是，“你看咧，讲话喜欢讲一半……”然后嗔怪的拍我一下，跺一下脚。其实我内心深处确然没有说话说一半的初衷，只是由于少年的含蓄和腼腆，少了快言快语的直截了当，少了言简意赅的表述。譬如在表达对她的好感、表达这份暧昧之时，总是无法清清楚楚地阐明。但我却知自己已在不知觉中动了心。

　　这份心动我一直深藏。我的隐藏如同深渊，摸不着底，如今思来竟连自己都惊讶不已。她有几次都疑惑地问我，为什么要极力撮合她和克文？我耸耸肩，故作镇定地搪塞过去。其实每一次我内心都在暗骂自己：你好阴暗，究竟是何居心!为何总是反其道而行之。

　　然而她毕竟最终没有和克文走在一起，即便他俩相处的时光比我多得多。感情是件奇妙的物事，如同用手紧握细沙一般，越是使劲，失却的越多。我想，如果当初我能像现在这般直白地告诉她彼时的想法，结果会是怎样呢？有谚语说，言辞的灵魂就是行动。你不行动，灵魂就将消失，感觉就会湮灭。我深刻体味到这句话中透出的冷峻萧然之意。

　　初三时的分班成为彼此情感分叉点。似乎在守望终点的那一刻，一个选择向左一个选择向右。偶尔的交流随着高一的再一次分班已变得愈加稀少。从那时起我强烈的感觉到彼此间开始渐渐疏远了。她过得好不好，交了哪些朋友，经历了哪些情感波动，我对此一无所知，只能间或从旁人的口中获知有关她的一二事。

　　好几次我会在去食堂的路上遇见她，她拿着碗，还是齐肩秀发，还是*底鞋，还是快步走着，凤眼很少斜视，熟悉的倔强。但从彼此匆匆一瞥的瞬间，我的心间总是能感觉到有一种异样的东西在闪烁，虽是低头匆匆而过，虽是淡淡一笑而过，我的心底总是泛起涟漪。有时候我很担心，我担心我心底的感觉仅仅是自我的一厢情愿：谁知道她心里的想法呢？说不定在新的环境中，她早已不再如我对她这般对我了。感情最怕的就是独角戏。

　　相处最难的是猜心，猜心最难的是根本就没有相处的机会。那样的猜测，仅仅是一种意念的支撑或幻想。

　　我们的陌生感在延续，从各自陪伴身边的人群中体现得愈加明显。偶尔的一次，我听说她交了男友，我如同电击般呆若木鸡，心似乎在不断沉沦，浑浑噩噩地度过了莫可名状的一段日子。这样的苦楚甚至直接影响了我的感情抉择。后来她时而会问到我和芳的事情，其实我很想对她讲的是，芳也时常问到我和她的事。只是那时我心中已经认定，她的心已经属于远方。

　　现在看书的人越来越少，好像游戏、图片比文字更有冲击力，对啊在快节奏时代谁还会想看密密麻麻的文字呢。

　　就连我也好久都不想看书，根本就是看不进去。但是又去了几次书店，发现了几本好书，就勾起我了强烈的读书欲望。在书店还是可以看见很多都市人对知识渴求。明白还是只有不断学习、随时充电自己才会有更多提高。

　　由于是学习出版专业，所以我对图书非常**。但凡经过书店都要去看，在大学的时候借了很多书，读书卡写得满满的，会把读书心得记下来，方便以后忘记看下心得就能记得。自己也会买一些文学刊物等书籍，总之记得书桌、柜子都放不下书，无奈连床尾都摆了一些书，也方便睡觉前阅读。

　　旅途有图书相伴是件好事情，每次无论是坐车回家还是旅行，都会带本杂志或者报纸，那种感觉很舒服，文字是心灵的鸡汤，而窗外飞驰过的美景都是一抹明媚的阳光，放下心中杂事，拥有一个惬意、美好的心情。现在坐动车很满意列车上都有杂志很不错，所以不用自带了。

　　毕业时很多东西都扔了，惟独自己喜欢的书籍是一箱一箱拿回去了。有次坐火车好心人帮我放置箱子，非常吃力得说：“小妹你这一箱子是石头吧”。我尴尬笑了笑，更悲催的事，由于过重连箱轮子都压坏了，一个人拖着沉重的箱子，周围是异样眼光-深刻的记忆。

　　工作后再无心看书，根本没有精力阅读，有时有空想看，又发现力不从心根本看不进去。

　　当真的想看的时候，发现自己身边根本没有可看之书。

　　由于现在是一个人在成都打拼，租房子搬家是常事。所以不敢有太多东西，并没有带什么书籍。想看书的时候只能去书店，书店是很有看书氛围，但是总是一站几个小时，多少有些累。回家想看书的，找个半天就是几本**学课本书和一本《女人的资本》，这本书我看了N遍，每次感受都不用一样。自己买书多少有些浪费，所以只好去图书馆办个借书证就方便了。

　　一个想法由此而生:朋友那里借，或者谁在学校帮我借书，或者我还能去图书馆看书。我真的怀念上学时能天天泡图书馆的日子。但是现在还是要珍惜看书的日子，保持这个好习惯，随时给自己充电 。

　　This sudden increase in the population of the developing countries has come at a difficult time. Even if their population had not grown so fast they would have been facing a desperate struggle to bring the standard of living of their people up to the point at which there was enough food, housing, education, medical care and employment for everyone to have a reasonable life.The poor countries are having to run faster and faster in their economic activity in order to stay in the same place, and the gap in wealth between rich and poor countries grows wider every year.

　　The most pressing problem created by the rapid increase in population is a shortage of food. More mouths have to be fed every year and yet a high proportion of the existing population are not getting enough of the right kind of food. Over the past two years the total amount of food has decreased, and of course the total amount of food per person has decreased even more shar*. More and more of the babies born in developing countries have been surviving infancy, and now nearly half the people living in those countries are under the age of 15. The *s have to work harder than ever to provide for the needs of the children,who cannot contribute to the economy until they are older. There is a shortage of schools and teachers, and there are not enough hospitals, doctors and nurses.

　　Farming land is becoming scarce,so country people are moving to the towns and cities in the hope of finding a better standard of living. But the cities have not been able to provide housing, and the newcomers live in crowded slums.Finally, there are too few jobs, and unemployment leads to further poverty.
